WHO WE ARE
Rural Smiles Foundation previously Hope Centre Foundation (HOCEFO) is a Youths and women centred non-profit organization whose mandate is to advance and advocate for Health rights, digital rights and economic empowerment among vulnerable persons in Uganda. Founded in November 2020 by indigenous youth members of Kibaale District later registered as a non-profit organization 23 Feb 2023 to advocate and advance, Health, digital rights and economic rights and empowerment among vulnerable persons including refugees, persons with disabilities, sexual and ethnic minority group, sex workers, Adolescent Girls, women and children especially those in rural communities.
What Make Us Different
We build youth capacities through trainings in business management, providing and advocating for access to start-up capital for the most “vulnerable persons”
Health and Health Rights
We ensure health rights and access to health services in a fragile setting.
When disasters occur, Rural Smiles Foundation provides emergency responses to ensure that basic human needs are met.
Digital Rights Advocacy
We advocate for digital rights through policy analysis, research advocacy, community awareness and investing in technology programs.
